Best, Eli F. - December 4, 1913
Mr. Eli F. Best, one of the estimable and most worthy citizens of Beaver Township, after fourteen weeks of suffering from typhoid passed away at his home near Blairs Corners last Monday morning, December 1, 1913, about (unreadable) o'clock. The deceased was employed on the B. & O. Railroad about fourteen years prior to his death. Mr. Best was born and raised in Beaver Township and lived there all of his life. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George C. Best. He was married about thirty years ago to Miss __ Thomas, who survives him with four sons and five daughters. He also leaves one brother and three sisters; Samuel, of Greene County, Pa.; Mrs. Joel Best, Beaver Township; Mrs. Emma Warner and Miss Amanda Best, Waterford, Pa. Mr. Best was a member of St. Paul's Reformed Church in Beaver Township for many years and was a devout Christian man. The funeral services were held Thursday, December 5, at his late home, Rev. H.S. Nicholson officiating and the body was laid to rest in the cemetery adjoining the church of which he was a member. The family have the sympathy of all in their sorrow.
