Dorothy Googe Robbins, age 93 of Southaven, Mississippi, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 25, 2021, surrounded by her family at home. She was born September 10, 1927 in Tremont, Mississippi, to Horace A. Googe and Helen Womack Googe. Dorothy is preceded in death by her late husband, Charles Robbins. They were married for 62 years. She was survived by her two daughters, Deborah Robbins and Donna (David) Bohannon of Southaven, Mississippi. She also was survived by two grandchildren, Ashley (Patrick) Carter of Keller, Texas and Wesley (Leslie) Bohannon of Walls, Mississippi. She also leaves behind five beautiful great-grandchildren, Alexis Nicole Bohannon, Bailey Kate Bohannon, Caleb Reid Carter, Kaspar William Carter, and Keagan Helen Carter. Dorothy Robbins and her late husband Charles were members of Boulevard Baptist Church located in Southaven, Mississippi. She graduated from Marietta High School in Marietta, Mississippi and attended Mississippi State University where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Later Dorothy returned to college and attended Memphis State University where she received a Master's Degree in Education - Administration and Supervision. She taught with the Prentiss County School District, Turrell School District and Memphis City School District for a total of 34 years before retiring. After retiring, Dorothy loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her smile, giving heart and kind spirit will be missed by those who knew and loved her. A memorial graveside service will be held for the family Monday, April 5, 2021 at the Booneville Cemetery at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Boulevard Baptist Church located at 885 Church Road East, Southaven, Mississippi, 38671.
