Jack owned and operated Hughes & Son's Masonry. He later worked for Catellier Salvage & Wrecking as a truck driver. Jack enjoyed being out in nature. He loved to go fishing and golfing. He also enjoyed going bowling and watching TV. Jack's biggest pride in life was his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon Thomas Hughes; and four brothers - Rainey, Joe Paul, Willie and Wendil Hughes.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years; three sons; one sister; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Jack Hughes on Friday, April 2, 2021 from 4 to 8 PM at the Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 AM on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will be in West Newton Cemetery.
