Sarah Alpharetta (Lee) Stewart
September 9, 1919 ~ March 30, 2021 (age 101

Sarah Alphretta Lee Stewart passed away on March 30, 2021 at the age of 101. She was born September 9, 1919 to Alvira Higgins and Robert Edmond Lee in Show Low, Navajo, Arizona. Sarah Married Victor Norton Stewart on 14 October 1938 in the Mesa Arizona Temple Mesa Arizona.

Sarah loved the scripture and read them everyday along with other Church magazines, she also enjoyed a good novel. The day before she passed all she wanted was her Book of Mormon. She was such a woman of faith and treasured her family, there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for them. She loved playing all kinds of games. Sally remembers her playing chess with dad until she started winning and those games became less frequent. Good ole dad! While living in Vernal before she went to bed, we would play five games of Yahtzee and wrap up the evening with two chocolate chip cookies and a fudge bar. She also loved a good Ginger Snap, Sees Chocolates when she could get some but really any kind of chocolate would do. She would limit herself to one piece so her sugars would not go too high.
Sarah loved her membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved serving in various positions. She must have been Primary President for 10 years along with Blazer Scout Leader, Relief Society President for another 10 years and rounded it all off as a Temple Supervisor until dad's Alzheimer's got worse and she became his primary caregiver until he passed in 1999.
Sarah is survived by seven of her eight children; Victor Norton(wife Betty Sue Jones)Stewart Jr; Robert Neal(wife Betty Jo Briggs)Stewart; Lee James(wife Christine Jeanne Jones)Stewart; Sally Etta Stewart(husband Richard Vernon Done); Sheryth Ann Stewart(husband Gary Lynn Schad); Dawnella Stewart(husband Jose Antonio Sandoval) and Sam(wife Barbara Ann Spears)Stewart; 21 Grandchildren; 76 Great Grandchildren; and 13 Great Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her sweetheart, Victor Norton Stewart Sr; son, Glen Edward Stewart; Great Grandson, Antonio "AJ" Flores; parents, Robert Edmond Lee and Alvira Higgins; and siblings, Dorothy, Rodney, Milton, Eldred, Larry, Larryce, Norman, Geraldine "Gerry" and Robert.
