Eva Fitzwater Durbin Hobbs
Mooresville resident, formerly of Mace.
She was at Hickory Creek Nursing Home.

Daughter of William and Charlotte Bearkley Fitzwater.
Married Earnest Durbin in 1938. They divorced in 1972. Married Woodson (Bud) Hobbs. He passed away in 1980. Then she met Alex Sokol, who was with our family for 15 plus years until he passed in 2010.
Survivors include son Bill Durbin; daughter Brenda (Jeff) Walters; seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; one great great great grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Arlie and Leonard, sisters Mary Demoret and Rosie Sparks, daughter Deanna Underwood, son Ronnie Durbin and daughter-in-law Vickey Durbin.

Eva and Bud operated a bowling ally in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin for several years. They moved to Mooresville later and operated the Pioneer Lanes until retirement.

She loved playing bingo, going out to eat with friends and, of course, bowling. She made the best pies you could put in your mouth.
