Funeral services for Mrs. Roxie Hoover, 86, of Hanging Limb, will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey with Rev. Arnold Murphy and Ovle Tinch officiating.

Burial will be in F.A. Norrod Cemetery in Hanging Limb.

Mrs. Hoover died Sunday, Oct. 23 at Standing Stone Care and Rehabilitation Center in Monterey. She was a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, the Green Pond Order of Eastern Star Chapter 482, and a homemaker.

Born March 5, 1919, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Ollie (House) Murphy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 infant daughters, Ethel Hoover and Judy Ann Hoover; 10 brothers; and 3 sisters.

Survivors include her husband of more than 68 years, B.M. "Lon" Hoover of Hanging Limb; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Lonnie Jr. and Wanda Hoover and Marrison and Jacqueline Hoover, all of Hanging Limb, and Randall and Mildred Hoover of Monterey; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Coleman Looper of Rickman, Brenda and James Matthews of Hanging Limb, and Barbara and Ronnie Poston of Cookeville; a sister, Flora Hargis of Crossville; 2 sisters-in-law, Rachel Murphy of Rickman and Lilly Mae Murphy of Green Pond; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter;
