NELLYSFORD – Robbie Thompson Davis, Harris, 89, died Saturday (June 18, 1994) at her home.
She was born Oct. 28, 1904, in Nelson County, a daughter of the late John W. and Katherine Truslow Thompson.
She was a lifetime member of Wintergreen Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Sheffey Lee Davis Sr.: her second husband, James H. Harris; three stepsons; and five stepdaughters.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth P. Davis of Stuarts Draft; three daughters, Barbara D. Gunter of Nellysford, Dorothy D. Apple of Glen Allen and Charlotte D. Campbell of Waynesboro; three stepdaughters, Frances Geiman of New Hope, Olive Ashley of Staunton and Shirley Snider of Waynesboro; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Wintergreen Christian Church by Pastor Robert Mansfield. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Martine "Buddy" Truslow, Nelson Davis, Curtis Snider, Page Grove, Devereaux Davis and Steve Byers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Auldman Campbell, Raymond Spitler, Frank Napier, Gale Thompson and members of her Sunday school class.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Byrum-Parr Funeral Home, Roseland.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1002 E. Jefferson St., Charlottesville, Va. 22902; Wintergreen Christian Church; or a charity of one's choice.
