Catherine Yenchick
Catherine Yenchick, 88, of Star Junction, died Saturday, July 31, 2004 in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. She was born Dec. 18, 1915 in Star Junction a daughter of the late Alexander and Martha Marie Verostek Sutyak. Mrs. Yenchick was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Perryopolis.
She is survived by one daughter, Irene Yenchick of Irwin: three grandchildren, Richard Kohout of Irwin, Amy Kohout of Pittsburgh and Paul Ritchie of Irwin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Yenchick in 1963 and 12 brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, Inc., 106 East Independence St., Perryopolis on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 4, when a Panachida service will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by funeral Liturgy at 10 a.m. in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Perryopolis, with the Rev. Robert E. Halus as celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery.
A Parastas service will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
