Walter was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked at Western Electric for over 30 years before retiring in 1985, and was a member of the Bell Pioneers. Mr. Allen was also a member of Jordan U.C.C., Allentown. Walter was an avid golfer and sports fan.
Survivors: Daughter, Cheryl Pfingstl and her husband, George R., of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Abby Spesserd and Adam Pfingstl; great-grandchildren, Aidan and Lily Spesserd. Walter was predeceased by his sister, Alerta Beatty.
