Walter F. Allen, 85, of Allentown, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of the late Catherine L. (Buff) Allen. Walter was also the husband of the late Geraldine G. (Diehl) Allen. Born in Plymouth, PA, he was the son of the late Walter and Ruth Allen.

Walter was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked at Western Electric for over 30 years before retiring in 1985, and was a member of the Bell Pioneers. Mr. Allen was also a member of Jordan U.C.C., Allentown. Walter was an avid golfer and sports fan.

Survivors: Daughter, Cheryl Pfingstl and her husband, George R., of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Abby Spesserd and Adam Pfingstl; great-grandchildren, Aidan and Lily Spesserd. Walter was predeceased by his sister, Alerta Beatty.

Services: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 1335-37 Linden St., Allentown. Call 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, in the funeral home.
