Betty Joyce Willis, the eldest daughter of three children was born to Aubrey Dunn Sr. and Doris Ward in Monroe Louisiana where she attended Swayze Elementary School.

In 1965 Betty moved to Houston along with her mother and siblings. In 1970 she married Johnny Willis and in this union they had one child, She graduated from Jack Yates High School in 1969. She later received her LVN Certification from St. Luke's Hospital. Betty worked at numerous medical facilities throughout the Houston area caring for many people and building great relationships, She was loved for her kind heart, free spirit, and unconditional love. After 45 years of being in the medical field she later retired from MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Betty became a faithful member of Outreach Missionary Baptist Church and later became a member at Greater St. Matthews Baptist Church. She also occasionally attended House of Love Ministries. Betty had a very active social life and had a host of lifelong friends including a sisterhood with Mary Dever, Faustine Martin, Corliss Lockhart, and Roslyn Smith. Her eternal sister and friend will always be Bennie Dunn-Lovings. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, reading books and studying God's word.

On March 21, 2021 Betty transitioned from earthside to glory where she was completely healed. She is preceded in death by her parents Aubrey Dunn Sr and Doris Ward.

Services for Betty will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas. Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 am. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, with Reverend Dwayne Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens, in Pearland, Texas.
