Rose M. Werner, 61 of Galena, IL passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021, At her home, after a courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of life will be held at 11 AM, Thursday April 1, 2021, at the Galena Bible Church, where friends may gather after 10 AM until time of service. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing, capacity limits and mask requirements will be enforced. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Galena. Cremation rates have been accorded. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena is assisting the family. She was born December 27, 1959, in Darlington, WI the daughter of Delbert and Linda (Devel) Coulthard. She married John Werner on June 12, 1980, in Darlington, WI. Rose was a self-employed wood worker. She enjoyed her trips to the beach and Dollywood. Rose loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, John, three daughters, Amy (Joe) Kibling of Galena, Bobby Jo Werner of Dyersville, IA, and Nicole (Lance) Budde of East Dubuque, IL, seven grandchildren, Madison, Summer, Zander, Wyatt, Jay Joseph, Stephen, and Aubrey, two sisters, Adella (Robert) Coulthard and Alice (Bob) Becholt, three brothers, John (Brenda), Delvin (Nancy), and David Coulthard, father-in-law, John Werner, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother, and her mother-in-law, Carolyn Werner. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Dubuque and Dr. Elizabeth Gullone for your care and kindness during this difficult time.
