Mr. Archie Eli Spillman Dead.

Mr. Archie Eli Spillman died Monday at his home near Abbott, after an illness of
several weeks.
The deceased was born Aug, 18, 1857. He was married to Alice Abbott Jan. 1, 1882,
who survives him with four sons, Lewis, Carl, Eli, Robert, and one daughter, Pearl.
Five sisters: Mrs. Sarah Browning, Mrs. Lula Schramme, Mrs. Mary Shepard, Miss Julia
Spillman and one btother, Mr. Frank Spillman, of this place.
Mr. Spillman was a member of the Baptist Church at Sligo, having united at the early
age of 11 years. He was a faithful member and filled the office of deacon with
satisfaction.
He has always lived on the same farm excepting two years of his life, and died in
the same house where he had always lived. He was one of the leading citizens in that
section.
The funeral service was conducted at his home Tuesday afternoon at 2 P.M. by Rev. W.
A. M. Wood. A large crowd of sympathizing friends were present. The birial took
place at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
