Mexican American War Officer. Born in New York, he served as Captain of the 1st Regiment, U.S. Infantry during the war with Mexico. He died from pneumonia while in the service at Fort Chadbourne in Texas in 1856 when he was 41 years old. He was initially buried in Burlington, Vermont and was later removed to Spring Grove Cemetery in 1866.
