Anthony Amato, age 92 of Bluffton, SC previously of Milford passed away at the coastal Carolina Medical Center, Hardeeville, SC on May 16, 2013. Born in Morrisdale, PA he was the son of the late James and Elizabeth Resse Amato. Anthony was a retired restaurant owner and loved the military serving his country proudly during WWII in the US Navy. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Milford, loved antiquing and sold art and furnishings as an auctioneer. Survivors include his beloved wife, Therese E. Repke Amato, a sister, Lucille Schmitt of SC, niece, Mary Lou Bryant, grandnephew, W. James Bryant, niece, Valerie Smith Annicelli of Milford and nephew, Jay Smith of Las Vegas and many devoted nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday May 29, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford with the Rev. Cathy Rohrs, Pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial with full Military Honors will follow in Union Cemetery.
