Joseph McCue, 83, of Chatham, died at 5:25 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2007 at home. Joseph was born on August 15, 1923 in Springfield, the son of Charles Joseph Sr., and Catherine Anne Power McCue. He married Elizabeth McLaughlin on June 24, 1944 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

He attended Cathedral Grade School and graduated from Cathedral Boys High School with the Class of 1942. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception where he served as an usher. He was a fifty-year member of the Knights of Columbus Council #364 and Capital Board of Realtors.

Joseph was employed as a realtor, owning and operating McCue Realty approximately twenty years, retiring in 2003. He served as a golf ranger at Piper Glen Golf Course.
He was an avid Cardinal Baseball fan and enjoyed golfing, dancing, and singing Irish tunes. He was very family oriented and will be missed by his family who loved him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Mary Catherine Patton and Margaret Anne Drew and two brothers: Neil McCue and Charles McCue.

He is survived by his wife of nearly sixty-three years, Elizabeth McCue of Chatham; one son, Dennis (wife, Toni) McCue; two daughters: Cathy (husband, Bruce) Loyd of Springfield and Chris (husband, Richard) Von Behren of Springfield; five grandchildren; two great grandsons; two brothers: Jack (wife, Dolly) McCue, Frank "Chris" (wife, Fran) McCue both of Springfield; one sister, Patricia Ford of Springfield and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Springfield with Rev. Michael Haag celebrant.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
