Mr. Marc Steven "Scotty" Scott, age 63, of Dupont, Indiana entered this life on July 30, 1957 in Madison, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late Frederick Junior and Bettie Louise Jane Hall Scott. He resided all of his life in Jefferson County and was a 1975 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. He was inducted into the United States Army and received his basic training and was prepared to go to Grenada and was then transferred to the Reserves. He was honorably discharged and returned home. Marc was united in marriage on November 7, 1992 to Vicki Lynn Waller at the Dupont United Methodist Church. He then became a certified welder and worked for the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Union Local 374 and retired August 1, 2012 with 20 years of service. After retirement he enjoyed working a the Madison Lowe's as a merchandiser for several years. He held membership in the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion and was of the Christian faith. Marc was proud of his five children, his ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He liked to tinker on things and was known as "Mr. Fix It", playing his guitar, loved music, going on walks, loved nature, and being with his family. Marc fought a courageous battle with cancer since January. Marc died surrounded by his family on Friday, March 19, 2021, at 2:15 a.m. at his home near Dupont, Indiana.

Marc will be missed by his loving wife of 28 years, Vicki Lynn Waller Scott of Dupont, Indiana; his children, Joshua Clinton Scott of Madison, Indiana, Ian Arley Dallas Waller of Dupont, Indiana, April Elizabeth Scott of Madison, Indiana, Hannah Nicole Oliver and her husband, Kyle of Madison, Indiana, Mariah Jane Scott of Hendersonville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Trenton, Lakyn, Emma, Elizabeth, Elaina, Ithan, Lillian, Hadley, Brody, and Kaden; his great grandchildren, Serinity and Atreus; his brother, Ronald Christopher Scott and his wife, Georgetta of Madison, Indiana; his sister, Carol Marie Scott Pendleton and her husband, John of Greenwood, Indiana; his brother in law, Rick Waller of Hanover, Indiana; his sister in law, Mickey Day of North Vernon, Indiana; two his uncles, George Scott and his wife, Lila of Vevay, Indiana, James "Nub" Scott of Moorefield, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Junior Scott, his mother, Bettie Louise Jane Hall Scott, his brothers, Phillip Andrew Scott and Dennis Allen Scott and his brother in law, Randall Proctor.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 28, 2021, at 3:00 pm, by Roger Welch, Bro. John Davis, Danny Wingham at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
