PAUL BERNET

Paul Bernet, 85, Durhamville's last surviving Civil War veteran, suicided by hanging himself in his barn last Friday afternoon. He served in the 117th N. Y. Infantry.


Served in Co. B 117th. Brother Abner served in same company and died of wounds received at Fort Fisher, N. C. 15 January 1865
