He was born in Fredericksburg, Texas on October 31,1936 to Joseph and Selma (nee Maurer) Lange.
Alvin graduated in Harper, Texas in 1955. He joined the army and served with distinction as a sharpshooter and drill instructor. He married Valeska Dean Bierschwale and raised five children. He was predeceased by his wife and mother of his children Valeska and his second wife Marilyn Fritz Lange and siblings Bernard, Mary, Charles, and Joseph.
He is survived by his children Ronald William Lange, Nancy Ann Castaneda, Jacquelyn Marie and Gus Rios, Mary Alice and Noel Bullard, Pamela Lorraine and Michael Palmer, his grandchildren Aaron, Amanda, Alyssa, Matthew, Jessica, Travis, Kyna, Carson, Jason, Mason, Renee, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, siblings Felix Lange, Jerome Lange, William and Judy Lange and Annie and Emilio Rendon.
