DEANNA "RUSTY" BAUER JACKSON
June 28, 1955 - March 7, 2021
Deanna was born in Great Lakes, IL. She attended Camp LeJeune High School, L.A. Harbor College and Bakersfield College. She retired in 2018 after working at West Elm, AT&T, Paramount Farms, Shell Oil, Pinky's Liquor Store and Wheeler Ridge Aviation.
Predeceased by her father Clifford D. Bauer, grandparents Glenn and Arleen Lutes and Fred and Florence Bauer. Survived by her loving, devoted husband Carl Jackson, mother Donna Ball, uncle Art Lutes, brothers Mark and Glenn Bauer, sister Shirlene Bauer-Maheia; grandson Brandon and his wife Amanda, granddaughters Shelby and Trinity; nieces Robin, Deborah, Carrie, Julia and Katelyn, nephews Chris W., Jason and Chris M., and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Deanna was the most loving, caring and giving soul with a good word and smile for everyone she met! Loved life to the fullest with an infectious laugh and twinkle in her eyes. A feisty redhead you did not cross, will be missed by all of us. She enjoyed vacationing at Pismo Beach, sunsets at the beach, gardening, travelling, hot air balloons, crafts and doting on her many nieces and nephews. She was a devoted volunteer with the reading program at Evergreen Elementary School in Bakersfield and loved her students.
I want to thank you for being my wonderful wife, my partner, my lover, my best friend, my reason for all that I do, the girl that loved me every day. I'll miss you so much. I love you yesterday, today, tomorrow, forever. Rest in peace Rusty. My life will never be the same without you. Your devoted husband for life! Carl
