Deloris was a Methodist by faith and a member of the South Pointe Methodist Church. Deloris was employed by Vincent Pallotti Hospital and Monongalia General Hospital until retirement.
Her greatest joys in life were spending time with and taking care of her family. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and other various hobbies.
Deloris is survived by her grandchildren, Amy Yerkovich, of McHenry, MD, Andrew Yerkovich, and wife, Julie, of Dilliner, PA; great grandchildren, Drew Talbott, Allison Yerkovich and Mia Butler; son-in-law, Andrew Yerkovich, Jr., and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Moser Junior Howell; daughter, Donna Jane Yerkovich; two great grandchildren, Robby Butler and Savannah Butler; siblings, Charles H. "Pete" Austin, James "Boots" Austin, R. Ralph Austin, Claude Austin, Kenneth Austin, Francis Grimm, Virginia Strang, Geneva McCrobie, Betty Turner, Mary Pitch, Barbara Jean Sanders, Dortha Austin, and Flossie Ferne Austin.
The family would like to thank Amedysis Hospice, Amber Mutimer, and the staff at Stonerise Morgantown; two special friends, Karen Freeland and Sandy Davis; and her brother-in-law, Larry Howell and wife, Donna.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Monday, March 22, 2021, from 4 – 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating.
