VICTORIA — Gladys Joyce Jones, 57, of Victoria, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021. She was born October 1, 1963 in San Antonio to the late Johnny Cartwell and Betty Larkins-White Hamilton of Victoria. She was a Baptist. She is survived by her mother; devoted companion, Fernando Etheridge of Victoria; daughters, Donnell Jones and Tamica Jones, both of San Antonio; sisters, Dorothy Haynes of Victoria, Joanne Cartwell and Diane Cartwell, both of San Antonio; brothers, Johnny Jones, Jimmy Jones, Robert Jones, and James Jones, all of Victoria; god-brother, Tyrone Jones of Victoria; grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by her father; daughter, Brandy Jones; sisters, Claudia Jones and Betty Hardrick; brothers, Charles Larkins and Bobby Coleman. Viewing was held on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. at Heaven's Gate Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. James Fowler, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
