He was born in Monroe County to William Calvin and Thyrza Kinsey Lee. He had been employed by the Ohio Valley Builders Supply Co. and drove a coal truck, a school bus and a taxi. He was a member of the Sixth and Washington Streets Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife Mildred Belle Clark whom he married May 17, 1958; two sons, Stephen Ellis Lee and his wife Myla, of Waterford, and David Gale Lee and his wife Susan, of Belpre, Route 1; two daughters Debbie Sue Barber and her husband, Don, Tammy Diane Hendrickson and her husband, Daniel, all of Marietta; 8 grandchildren; 2 sisters Leona Briley of Warsaw, Ind., and Kathleen Walters of Marietta.
He is preceded in death by parents, 2 brothers, Vic Lee and Fred Lee; and 2 sisters, Geraldine Brown and June Kehl.
Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. at McClure-Schafer Funeral Home in Marietta with Evangelist John Rockhold officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
