Marge was an alumnus of Morgan Park H.S. and worked for the Illinois Central R.R. for 24 years. She loved roller skating where she met her husband, Harold, and they married in 1951. When Harold suffered a heart attack at the age of 48, she opened her own business of Knit Shops and Merle Norman Cosmetics at Evergreen Plaza, Ford City, and Chicago Ridge Malls which she ran for over 40 years.
She enjoyed golf, bowling, card clubs, and bingo, but her greatest love was for her home, her three sons, four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Marge was Past President of the Brother Rice H.S. Alumnae Mothers Club. She worked doing rummage sales for the school and one year delivered a check for $10,000.00 to Br. Pilon.
She loved to travel including trips to China, Japan, Europe, and the Holy Land. Marge wrote that God had been good to her all of her life. She enjoyed good family, good friends and still drove to church every morning to St. Germaine to thank Him. She was the Matriarch of her Semprevivo Family and now celebrates in heaven with her “Always Alive” family members who have entered eternal life.
