Son of James Vincent 'Menage" and John Milton; Convict # 8354, tried and convicted for feloniously demanding money with menace 01/08/1862; Arrived in WA 1865 pert the "Racehorse". Sent to Geraldton and 1875 granted his Ticket of Leave; worked as a labourer, general servant and cook at Northampton, Bowes River and White Peak.
Whilst employed as a cook at White Peak Station, he drowned in a well on the property .An Inquest found he had committed suicide by throwing himself into a well " in a fit of temporary insanity".
His name is recorded as Minago in "More Lonely Graves", as "Minage" on the WA Death Registry - 733/1896 but "Menage is used in English Records.
