Shirley Parrish Ross, 83, of Henderson, NC died Saturday, March 13, 2021 at her home.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Lemmie Eugene Parrish and Lessie Gupton Parrish. She was the widow of Freddie Winford Ross.

She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., at Eastside Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Michael Grant. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.

Surviving are three daughters, Theresa Diane Ross (David), Tammy Ross Bolton (Ricky) and Shirley Michelle Ross (Donald); two sisters, Barbara Jean Edwards and Bertha Stainback and two brothers, Thurston Parrish and J.H. Parrish; seven grandchildren, Lisa Renee Ross, David Wayne Strickland, Crystal Tant, Kari Lovings, April Paschall, Tiffany Ross and Brandon Edwards, and twenty great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by, two sons, Kenneth Eugene Ross and Ronnie Winford Ross, one grandson, Daniel Ray Strickland and a great-granddaughter, Aubrie Edwards, two sisters, Annie Christine Wilder Freeman and Mary Magdaline Parrish Smithwick, and nine brothers, William “Bud” Parrish, Charles Furman Parrish, Talmadge Ray Parrish, Willie Allen Parrish, Melvin Eugene Parrish, Morris “Sam”, Sidney George Parrish, Joseph “Joe” Parrish and Jerry Rogers Parrish Sr.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Eastside Baptist Church. All other times they will be at her home.

Serving as pall bearers will be Tim Gilleland, Tray Macon, Earl Campbell, Curt Paschall, Mike Adcox, Chuck Parrish, Brandon Edwards and Earl Stainback.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, those planning to attend the service, are asked to adhere to all CDC guidelines by wearing a face covering of some sort and practice social distancing.
