Thomas J. Hale, of Lafayette, passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 11, 2021.

He was born in Anderson, IN on September 17, 1939, the son of John and Edith (Scott) Hale and was a 1958 graduate of Darlington High School. He married Alma Dell Pursell in 2004. They shared more than five wonderful years together.

Mr. Hale proudly served his county in the United States Marine Corp. Thomas worked for 40 years with Fairfield Manufacturing Company until his retirement in 2001. He was a former member of Rods and Relics Car Club and was a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.

Survivors include four children; four stepchildren; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and a sister, Diana Hale.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM in Fillmore Cemetery on Monday, March 22, 2021. Burial will follow.
