Moshulatubbee King was the leader of the Northern Tribes of the Choctaw Nation when the treaty of Dancing Rabbit was signed in the 1830's ceding all their land East of the Mississippi River to the United States for lands in Oklahoma, he arrived in Oklahoma in 1838 and died shortly thereafter..this infomation is documented and on display in the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.

Funeral services for Mrs. Maude King Rose were held at the Duck Hill Baptist Church on Monday afternoon, July 16th, with the Rev. J. M. Metts officiating. Interment was in Duck Hill cemetery under the direction of Lee Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were B. F. Herman, Sr., C. C. Hubbert, G. C. Fox, James Holmes, Henry Goldman and Bennett Holmes.
Mrs. Rose who passed away at the home of a daughter, Mrs. James Holmes, in Duck Hill on July 15th was born in Montgomery County on February 10, 1877. The widow of Henry E. Rose, she was a member of the Duck Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Holmes, Mrs. Rose leaves four other daughters, Mrs. B. F. Herman, Sr., Mrs. J. L. Taylor, both of Duck Hill, Mrs. C. C. Hubbert, and Mrs. G. C. Fox of Grenada; two sons, Jewel Rose and Joe Rose of Duck Hill; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Elmore of Durant; two brothers, Norman King and Raymond King of Durant; twenty-two grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
