Ernest Griffin Wilson, 70. of Duck Hill, died Friday, January 20, at Grenada County Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr. Wilson was a native of Alabama, member of Duck Hill Methodist Church, Masonic-Lodge No. 1212 of Weslaco, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lorene Cook Wilson of Duck Hill, his mother, Mrs. Maggie E. Wilson of Weslaco, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry W. Anderson of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. John A. Grant of Duck Hill; two brothers, Audiss Wilson and Onrow Wilson, both of Weslaco, Texas, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. C. Kitchens at Oliver Chapel at 2:00 P.M., Sunday. January 22. Burial with Masonic rites at graveside at Duck Hill Cemetery with Oliver Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Joseph H. Grant, Floyd Grant, Donald Grant, Will Grant, Elmer Blakely and Gary Kirk.
