Selmer, Tenn- The Rev. James Henry Moore dide Saturday, Feb. 10, 1996 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tenn.. He was born June 04, 1918 in McNairy County, Tenn. to Henry and Blanche Moore.

He was pastor at New Hope Baptist Church in Pocahontas, Tenn., He was a former pastor at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in McNairy, Tenn.. Old Friendship Baptist in Finger, Tenn. Calary Baptist Church in Adamsville, Tenn., Rienzi Baptist in Rienzi and Van Vleet Baptist Church. He also was associational mission director in Alcorn County and interim pastor of South Corinth Baptist Church in Corinth. He was a member of the Rienzi Lions Club, where he served in many offices.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 1/2 years, Wesley Pauline Moore on June 19, 1995.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Rienzi Baptist Church with Bro. Charlie Cooper and Bro. Roy Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Danville Church Cemetery. Shackelford Funeral Home of Selmer, Tenn. is in charce of the arrangements.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Wesley Moore and Cathy Moore, and Jimmy Wayne Moore and Maylene Moore, all of Rienzi; one daugther and son-in-law Carolyn and Milton Bishop of Rienzi; a daugther-in-law and her husband Sue and Bill Hivley of Corinth;

nine grandchildren, Paul Grimes and her husband Chris, James Paul Moore Jr. and his wife Tooties, and Carol Moore all of Corinth, Brandon Moore and his wife Shawna, Julie Weatherbee and her husband, Wesley, Kellie Carter and her husband, Jasen, Shellie Moore, Dustin Moore and Lori Moore, all of Rienzi; one step grandchild, Keith Hivley of Corinth; six great-grand children, Jay Moore, Sara Surratt, Brandy Surrat and Alex Grimes, all of Corinth, Taylor Moore and Jamie Weatherbee, both of Rienzi; one step-greatgrandchild, Little John Weatherbee of Booneville; four brothers and sister-in-laws, Kenneth Moore and his wife, Linda of Bethel Springs, Tenn. Carl Moore and his wife, Pat, of Swartz Creek, Mich., Ray Moore and his wife, Dorothy of Adamsville, Tenn., Charles Evert Moore and his wife, Hilda, of Port Allen, La.; three sisters, Lavera Harris of Bethel Springs, Tenn., Imagene Farris and her husband O.W., of Selmer, Tenn. and Cleatous Thomas and her husband, Jimmy, of Adamsville, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by a son, James Paul Moore Sr; three grandchildren; Jimmy Wayne Moore Jr., Dana Michelle Moore and Vickie Ann Bishop; one sister. Maggie Elam of Louisiana; two infant brothers, Guy Wade Moore and Tedford Moore; Roy M. Moore of Florida, and a brother-in-law, R.A. Harris.
