Gabriel Guzman Oct. 17, 1982 - March 8, 2008 Resident of Concord GABRIEL GUZMAN, a fallen hero, was killed in Afghanistan March 8, 2008 when his vehicle hit an explosive device. Born Oct. 17, 1982 in Salt Lake City, UT. He grew up and went to school in Concord, CA and considered it his home. He enjoyed martial arts, working out, snowboarding, video games, and joking around with his friends. At the age of 21 he joined the Army as a way to develop himself and support his young daughter, Angela. With a passion for life, he put everything into all that he did. He was strong, both physically and mentally, with a great sense of personal integrity. He was deeply loved and respected by family and friends, and will be greatly missed.
