He attended Central High School, and served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He married Betty (Goins) in October of 1984. At the age of 56, he retired from the City of Columbus’ EBA division. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Scott; brothers, Gary Scott and Michael Leroy Scott (1949-2004). He is survived by his mother, Betty Scott; wife of 36 years, Betty Scott; children, Enga Fuqua (James), Lawrence C Scott, Jr .(Brittany), Dwight Scott (Channak), Alyson Tucker (Brandon); grandchildren, James, Madelyn, Nick, Larry III, Deon, Major, Brandon JR, Drake, Asher, and Lillian; sisters, Angela Scott and Tonya Scott; and brother, Thomas Scott.
