Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville for Josephine A. Welle, age 79, of Paynesville, who died Friday at the Assumption Home in Cold Spring. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. on Monday at the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville and after 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. St. Louis Christian Women will pray at 4:30 p.m. followed by the Daughters of Isabella at 7 p.m. and parish prayers at 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Josephine Agnes Hinnenkamp was born December 23, 1923 in Melrose Township, Minnesota to William "Bill" and Elizabeth (Angelbeck) Hinnenkamp. She married Clarence Welle on August 23, 1943 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Melrose. They moved to Paynesville in 1947 where they resided the rest of their lives. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Christian Women and Daughters of Isabella.
Surviving Josie are her children, Pat (Bill) Hamlet of Monticello, Jim (Mary) of Bloomington and Dennis (Debbie) of Chaska; 5 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 9 step great grandchildren; sisters Ann Faber of Meire Grove and Lois Braun of Alexandria, and brothers, Pete Hinnenkamp of Litchfield and Bill Hinnenkamp of Melrose.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband Clarence Welle (1998); two sisters, Rita Herges and Adele Hoffman and one brother, Elmer Hinnenkamp.
Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville made the arrangements.
