She adored children and spent many years serving in the nursery as a member of 12th Street Baptist Church. Gaye grew up in foothills of Weaverville, North Carolina and never lost her love for nature and its beauty.
She met the love of her life at 20 and settled into her God given gift as mother to all.
She was beautiful, kind, fiery at times (redhead), would cook for the whole block, and was lovingly known to all as Maw-maw.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years Thomas Earl Maeger Sr.; daughters Kathi Stuckey, Rhonda Peppers; son, Thomas Earl Maeger Jr.; son-in-law, Wayne Peppers; and great-grandson, Carson Warren.
The family will receive guest at Collier Butler Funeral Home Monday, March 8, from 6pm until 7pm.
There will be a graveside service 12pm (noon)Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at Crestwood Cemetery.
Collier Butler Funeral Home will direct services.
