Funeral services will be held 3:00 Monday afternoon, March 8, 2021 at the St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Monticello with interment in the St. John's Cemetery. Pastor Caleb Schewe will officiate at the services.
Friends may call after 1:00 Monday at the church.

Mask’s must be worn and fitted properly over the nose and mouth at all times to enter the church. Social distancing standards need to be strictly observed.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to a charity of choice.
Surviving loved ones include her sister, Lois Bohlken Dusdieker, (Nile) of North Liberty, and their three children; Anna(Michael) Duke, Pennant Hills, Australia, Carol Dusdieker Archer (Thaddeus), Perrysburg, OH, Nile Thomas Dusdieker, (Alyson) Tiffin , great-nieces and nephews, Chloe and Thaddeus Archer, Patrick, Adam and Benjamin Duke, Nile Oscar and Thomas Dusdieker.
She was preceded in death by her parents Adolph (Boots) and Jean Bohlken and a sister Janette.
Joyce Mary Bohlken was born January 18, 1947 at the John McDonalds Hospital, Monticello, Iowa. She was the daughter of Adolph and Jean Royden, Bohlken.
Joyce attended the Rocky Ridge Country School near Scotch Grove and graduated from the Monticello Community Schools in 1965. Joyce graduated from Iowa State University in 1968.
She taught Junior High Science for 40 years in the North Cedar Schools.
Joyce helped her sister Janette run the Scotch Grove Nursery until they retired in 2016.
Joyce was a lifelong member of the St. John's Lutheran Church.
She was an excellent quilter and bread baker.
