Jeffrey B. "Jeff" Richardson, 61, of Bringhurst, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 8:54 PM at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital. He was born on February 15, 1960 in Logansport, IN to the late Carol G. (Flora) Richardson and Byrd "Rich" Richardson Jr, who survives. His marriage was to Carla A. Cottrell at the Flora First Christian Church on December 22, 1984 and she survives.

He was a 1978 graduate of Carroll High School, received his BS in Education from Ball State University in 1982, and received his Associate degree in Electronics from Ivy Tech in Kokomo in 1990. He taught for 1 year at Glenbard East High School in Lombard, IL. He then started teaching Industrial Arts at Carroll Jr-Sr High School in 1984 to 1987, and during his time at Carroll, he coached varsity swimming & track and coached JV football. He then went to to work at Delco Electronics' in Kokomo for 18 years. He operated Richardson & Sons Construction in Bringhurst for over 30 years and enjoyed driving around the county remembering all the jobs they had done. He then started work at Chrysler in Kokomo as an electrician in 2012 and was currently employed there.

Jeff and his family attended the Bringhurst United Methodist Church and he had served as a trustee. He and his family enjoyed boating and water activities. They always looked forward to vacation's to Dale Hollow Lake. He raised Simmental Angus cross cattle. He enjoyed coaching his son's during baseball season and whatever other sports they were in. Either on the field or from the stands, they always knew he and their mother was there supporting them. Jeff never knew a stranger, and enjoyed hanging out at the Corner Café in Flora with his friends or cruising the neighborhood on his golf cart. Family was everything to Jeff. He loved to have his boys and families over to their house, just being together for whatever reason.

Surviving are his wife; five sons; father; four sisters; two brothers; and eight grandchildren. Jeff was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, David Cowell.

Private family service will take place on Saturday at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Pastor Brad Burton will officiate. Interment will be at Zion Cemetery.
