Laura Mae Wilson, 94, of Mount Holly, met Jesus face to face on Friday, December 11, 2020.

She was born in Dawson County, Georgia, daughter of the late Richard and Lela Martin Wilson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald Ross Wilbanks, and siblings, Avery and Arvel Wilson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Carolyn W. Cloninger (Gene), Rev. James E. Wilbanks, Joyce W. Williams, David Franklin Wilbanks, Garry G. Wilbanks, and Larry D. Wilbanks; her siblings, Gladys Pearson, Richard Wilson, John Mason Wilson, Martha Jo Morgan, and Pauline Duncan; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and very special and close friends of the family, Cathey and Jackson Taylor.

The family will greet guests from Noon until 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2020, at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly. A service to celebrate her life will be held immediately following at 1:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. Interment will conclude at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly.
