Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the St. John Berchman Catholic Church in Cankton for Mrs. Alexandre Leger, 74, the former Elizia Menard, who died at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Cankton. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include three sons. Leo and Paul Leger, both of Cankton and Hypohte Leger of Port Alien; five daughters, Mrs. Cleman Babineaux and Mrs. Leon Babineaux, both of Carencro, Mrs. Joe Guidroz of Lafayette, Mrs. Jack Royer of Cankton and Mrs. Anatole Cormier of Port Allen; three brothers, Desire Menard of Bosco. Eursin Menard of Lafayette, and Columbus Menard of Ville Platte; and two sisters, Mrs. Pierre Leger of Carencro and Mrs. Alexandre Mire of Bosco.
