Funeral services for Mr. Arthur Douglas Reeves will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Family Place Church, Reeves, with Reverends Glenn Ducharme and Lloyd Carrol officiating. Interment will follow in Creel Memorial Gardens, Reeves, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Reeves, 74, of Reeves, entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at his residence.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved making sausage and he loved fishing. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Reeves; his loving wife of fifty-four years, Carol Jane Reeves; one daughter, Teri Holland; one granddaughter, Jasper Danielle Mitchell; one brother, Michael Reeves; and three sisters, Wanda Murphy, Patsy Reeves and Linda Fuqua.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his father, Ray Reeves, of Ragley; two sons, Joshua Douglas Reeves, and his wife, Amy, of Reeves and John Adam Reeves, of Gillis; one daughter, Dee Dee Parker, of Lake Arthur; one sister, Brenda Taylor, of Palestine, TX; fourteen grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held at Family Place Church, Reeves, on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
