MYERS – Edward R., 76, St. Michael, passed peacefully at home March 1, 2021. Born January 23, 1945, in Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County; son of George "Lanky" and Helen (Zoltz) Myers. Preceded in death by parents; infant grandson, Jacob Kundrod; and paternal grandparents, Robert N. and Elizabeth C. (Costlow) Myers, who helped raise him.
Survived by beloved wife, Karen A. (Hautz) Myers, St. Michael; daughter, Brenda, wife of Gary Kundrod, St. Michael; son, Greg, married to Jennifer (Kinley), Conneaut, Ohio; grandchildren, Madison, Garrett, and Carson Kundrod; and Dillon and Wade Myers; and special cousin Raymond (Nancy) Myers, Westmont.
Member of St. Michael Catholic Church, graduate of Adams Township High School, class of 1963, and US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. Ed was a former police officer with Adams Township and was a retired Lieutenant from SCI Somerset with 22 years of service. Member of St. Michael American Legion Post 551. Lifetime member of Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter #364, Johnstown; and the Beaverdale Sportsmen's Association.
Private family visitation at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Monsignor David Lockard Celebrant.
Military rites by St. Michael American Legion Post 551.
Following cremation, committal will be held at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.
