Mr. Fleener spent his childhood in Morgantown, IN, where he enjoyed managing local pool halls and the roller rink. He had a love for fishing, camping, hunting, playing basketball and softball. He was a former member of the Federal Mogul Softball Team and retired from Federal Mogul in Mooresville after 40 years of employment.
He is survived by his loving family including his wife, Phyllis Irene (Hamilton) Fleener of Martinsville. He and Phyllis were married July 3, 1954 and together they shared five children, sons, Ervin Lee and Gerald "Jerry" (wife, Lee Anne) Fleener and daughter, Barbara Ann Fleener, all of Martinsville. One son, David Fleener and one daughter, Kathy Sue Skirvin preceded him in death. He also leaves behind one sister, Darlene Briskey (husband, Dan) of OH, ten grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one grandchild and three brothers, Doyle "Red", Russell and Delbert Fleener.
A graveside service was Thursday, October 29th, 2020 at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery in Martinsville. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 50 E. 91st St., St # 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center was entrusted with arrangements.
