Born in Pauline, SC, son of the late Carl and Emma Foster.
Proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather; and loved working in his shop building and restoring all kinds of items.
Survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Linda Barton Foster; daughters, Starr Fields (Richard) and Pam Carroll (Thomas); five grandchildren; and many friends.
Also predeceased by siblings, Emmie Foster Page (1937–2017), Carl Foster
(1939–1940), Billy Dean Foster (1941–2007), James George Foster (1943–2019), John D Foster (1945–2005), and Robert C. Foster (1952–2012).
The family received friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM, Friday, March 5, 2021, at Eggers Funeral Home in Boiling Springs.
Memorial service followed at 2:00 PM in the chapel.
