Bobby Joe Wright, age 61 of Atlanta, GA formerly of Tazewell, VA passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Emory Midtown Hospital in Atlanta, GA.
Born August 30, 1959, in Tazewell, VA he was a son of the late Roscoe Gratton Wright and Alice Louise Jones Wright.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Pauline Brown; brothers, David Roscoe Wright, James Edward Wright, and Danny Gratton Wright.
He is survived by his partner of twenty-seven years, Robert Bowers of Atlanta, GA; sister, Peggy Bowling and husband, Kenny of Wise, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Peery & St.Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA where funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM with the Reverend Kenneth Gillespie officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA.
