Mexican Musicologist, Critic, Journalist and Cultural Promoter. Luis Esteban Pérez Santoja was deputy director of Music of the National Institute of Fine Arts (1985-1989) and also of the General Directorate of Music of the UNAM (1983-1984). He cultured the art of notes for the concert program and trained generations of music lovers. Graduated from the Carlos Septién García School of Journalism, but opted for music journalism, which he developed in different media. He is the author of the notes to the program of the concert seasons of the National Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestra of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He was in charge of the Sala Margolín, a site attended by specialists, students and musicians interested in hearing his correct recommendations of books, films and albums. He also was collaborator of the cultural supplement "Confabulario."
