ANDERSON - Douglas L. "Doug" Ashby, 57, of Anderson, made his way home on Dec. 26, 2013.

He was born on Aug. 6, 1956 in Anderson to Joseph D. Ashby and Macel (Mabbitt) Holaday.

He was a self-employed musician.

He is survived by his mother, Macel Holaday; sister, Pamela J. Ashby; two brothers, Mark C. (Lena) Holaday and Charles N. Holaday; half-sister, Kelly J. Ashby; stepsister, Robin Eytchison; two nephews, Jeremiah J. Holaday and James C. Holaday; niece, Erica McDole; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph D. Ashby; grandparents, Lloyd and Velma Mabbitt and Lee and Daisy Ashby; and an aunt, Sonja Ohler.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Angie Covington officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
