Jaynelle spent her childhood in Loveland, Colorado, and had lived in Dodge City, Kansas and was a longtime resident of Ulysses, Kansas. She gradutated from Grant County Rural Hight School and attended Fort Hays State University and earned an Associates Degree in Business from Dodge City Community College. Jaynelle was a former Miss Grant County, former owner of Phillip's Mortuary, licensed Kansas Funeral Director and former member of Kansas Funeral Directors Association. She owned and operated Jaynelle's Flowers and Gifts and was a member of PEO Chapter, Jaycee Janes, First United Methodist Church, ESA Sorority, Tuesday Wednesday Bridge Club, and a former member of Grant County Chamber of Commerce and Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church Alter Society.

Survivors include three sons, three brothers, three sisters, and six grandchildren.
