Rev. Wallace was The Rector of St. John's Church from 1691-1712. In his will he requested that he be buried on his plantation "Errol" on "Back River". He named his plantation "Errol" from his home in "Errol" in Perthshire, Scotland.

He was also a Doctor of Medicine and was a very clever businessman.

When Rev. Carter Brackstone Bryan was Rector of St. John's Church he used his influence and had the grave marker from Rev. Wallace and his wife's graves moved to St. John's Church and later to the cemetery on Pembroke Avenue, see memorial #14193982 to see the grave markers. Though the markers were moved the bodies still remain in their original resting place.
