Clone was one of thirteen children born to John Herschel Durden and Malisa B. Hutcheson Durden originally of Emanuel Co., GA. He was married to Katie "Marie" Sizemore Durden, who predeceased him. They were the parents of the following children: Johnny L. Durden, Jack Randolph Durden, Sr., Allene Durden Parker, Norman Durden, and Annie Durden Richardson. He was also survived by two brothers, Lonnie Durden of Langley, SC and Dewey Lee "Duke" Durden of Bath, SC, and by four sisters: Clyde Durden Palmer of Langley, SC.; Clara Durden Cobb of Columbia, SC; Leila Durden Strom of Warrenville, SC; and Gladys Durden Hardeman of Clearwater, SC; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Siblings who predeceased him were: Leona, nmn, Durden; Lonard Herschel Durden, Sr.; Curtis,nmn, Durden; Maedell, nmn, Durden Miller; Mary Durden Neta Durden. Clone was retired owner of Valley Taxi, and had lived in Gloverville, SC since 1928. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gloverville, SC.
