Larry was born December 15, 1941, in Elco, Illinois, son of the late Omer and Avis Watkins Jordan.
He proudly served in the United States Army as a Specialist; and was a truck driver for over 40 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Jordan on March 17, 2017; stillborn grandson, Ethan Jordan; and brothers, Charles and Gerald Jordan.
Survivors include his son, Christopher (Jade) Jordan of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; daughter, Kendra Jordan of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; grandchildren, Garrett and Alexandra Jordan; three sisters, Opal Pullen of Marreno, Louisiana; Janet Anderson of Cobden, Illinois; and Nadine Sadler of Anna, Illinois; other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Friday from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in Tamms. Graveside funeral services will be at 1 p.m. at the Mound City National Cemetery. Interment will follow. Full military honors will be given by the Illinois National Guard Burial Team and area veterans.
Those attending the services are asked to follow the social distancing guidelines and wearing a face mask or covering is strongly encouraged.
