Steve C. Maroules Montgomery of Longs, SC died at his home after a long illness.
He was the son of the late James S. Maroules and Helen Roberts Maroules.
He was born April 19, 1965 in Conway, SC, and worked as a plumber for many years.
Steve was predeceased by his Father James S. Maroules, an adopted father Wayne Montgomery, a brother Richard Montgomery. He was also predeceased by Maternal Grandmother Allie Hardwick, paternal Grandparents Speros and Martha Maroules and adopted grandparents Jessie & Nina Montgomery and grandfather, James W. Roberts.
He leaves behind his mother Helen Montgomery, A sister Martha Faircloth and husband Michael, A wonderful brother Jim Montgomery and his wife Angela, a sister Melinda Elliott and grandfather Jim (Pete) Hardwick. In addition, he leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and 2 special great-great nieces Lorissa Grey Edwards and Emma Rose Capps.
Steve lived with his sister Martha & her husband Michael for many years. He was a loving son, brother and friend. Steve was loyal to the ones he loved and you couldn’t ask for a better friend. He also loved his companion pets Snowball & Lucy which he spent countless hours playing with them. If you had the honor of knowing Steve, you knew how big his heart was. He loved the elderly and children and he would not let anyone harm them in any way.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of SMA, Tina, and Kelly. Also, a special thanks to Kathy Mishoe, Wanda Faircloth, and Sherry Simmons.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 pm Thursday, February 25, 2021, at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Bruce Davenport and Matt Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Westside Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 pm until 2:45 pm. Watson Funeral Services and Crematory, 2300 Hwy 378, Conway, SC is serving the family.
