She is survived by her husband of 31 years, George T. Barry; five children, Edward (Denise) Chapman, Michael Chapman, Catherine Cohen, Mary (Joseph) Decker and Linda (Patrick) Broderick; nine grandchildren, Kyle, Wendy, Brian, Jason, Jack, Laura, Clark, Natalie and Ellie; three great-grandchildren, Ryder, Ace and Quinn; George’s children, Kim Shay (Ken Winburn), Denise (Joel) Sieber, Michelle (Jim) Burke, Diane (Clayton) Hoyt and Thomas (Davelle) Barry; George’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five siblings, James (Kathleen) Denniston, Louise Patterson, Susan Modzel, George (Kathy) Denniston and Helen (Andy) Bills; brothers-in-law, Charles Sweeney and Larry Smith; many nieces and nephews.
Carol was a graduate of Pal-Mac High School, Class of 1957 and attended SUNY Brockport. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at F. F. Thompson Hospital from 1983-2001. Carol enjoyed knitting, gardening, Canandaigua Lake and spending time with family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Pines, Emergency Department and 3 East at F.F. Thompson Hospital, for the excellent care she received.
A Celebration of Carol's Life will be held at a later date and time to be announced. Interment will be in the Overackers Cemetery, Middlesex.
